About
Hello,
I'm Marina, a French native, living in Ireland, and completely obsessed with fabric.
I have always been passionate about fashion and clothing, being able to imagine an outfit and then seeing come to life. I have studied 4 years fashion design and sewing in south of France. Along the way I worked in an alteration shop, a laundrette, and a Bridal shop, different corners of the fashion world, but each one taught me something about fabric, fit, and care.
After many years of dreaming to create my own clothing line, it finally became more than a dream. It became The Pineapple Boo.
Every piece you see here starts the same way : a length of fabric on my worktable, an idea in my head, and no shortcuts in between. I cut, sew, and finish everything by hand, in very small batches — mostly two or three pieces, sometimes only one, made once and never repeated. If you're wearing a Pineapple Boo piece, there's a good chance no one else in the world owns exactly the same one.
I built my brand around five things I refuse to compromise on:
Ethical
I source my fabric from local shops here in Ireland and in France, and from leftover pieces from bigger companies that would otherwise go to waste. I always look for good-quality fabric — the kind that's made to last, not to be thrown out after a season. And about the handful of pieces I don't make myself here ? they are made ethically and with the environment in mind.
Original
No templates, no copy-paste designs. Once I've made a piece, I rarely make it the exact same way twice.
Positive & Empowering
Clothes that make you feel like yourself, not like everyone else.
Fun
Because getting dressed should never be boring.
What I love most about my job is watching something take shape. Seeing a piece of fabric become a finished outfit. Knowing all of the hard work and care that went into it. This is truly what makes everything worth it.
Thank you for being here, and for caring about who made your clothes.
Marina
